(sort of sponsored by Matt 'Mattadata' Navarre, only because I have a few instruments)

We'll try to have a classical guitar, a steel string, a mandolin, perhaps a baritone ukelele, and who knows what else. The idea here is to have a space for songs the musicians love to play, and also to communicate with music instead of words. A little change of pace and quiet time to close your eyes and listen.

Discouraged items: Loud music, louie-louie, and asking guitar players to play songs they don't know so you can sing them. This is to make more room for a gentler kind of musical communication. The goal is not a hippie drum circle (but with stringed instruments), and neither is it the dreaded DevCon jam. We'll just have so see what happens, and hope desperately that Sam Barnum and Bob Bowers show up.

Piano! We need a piano!
